Citing his brother and joint ruler Abu’l-Fadl Badran, ‘[ʿa]dl(?) / lā ilāha illā Allāh / waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū / Muʿtamid al-Dawla / wa Abu’l-Faḍl ibnāʾ / Ḥusām al-Dawla’ (‘Justice(?). There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. Muʿtamid al-Dawla and Abu’l-Fadl, sons of Husam al-Dawla’ in Arabic); mint and date formula in the margin, of which only a small part is legible. Rev. Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Qadir billah (AH 381-422 / AD 991-1031) and the Buwayhid overlord Sultan al-Dawla Abu Shujaʿ (AH 403-415 / AD 1012-1024), ‘…li-llāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh / ṣalla Allāh ʿalayh / al-Qādir bi-llāh / al-malik Sulṭān al-Dawla / Abū Shujāʿ’ (‘…To Allah.
